Letterfold Snap Wallet | Handmade Leather, Saddle Stitched, Minimalist, Black Chrome Tan

This is the letter fold snap wallet in black chrome-tanned leather, with two card pockets. It folds closed on a snap and holds about 10 cards when new. Closed, it measures roughly 4" × 3" × 1/2".

Chrome-tanned leather is soft and flexible from the start, so this wallet has some give to it right out of the box. It wears well and holds up to daily use.

For each wallet I choose sections of hide with tight grain and minimal imperfections. The edges are beveled, sanded, and hand burnished.

The stitch holes are punched with diamond chisels, then sewn with two needles and one thread worked from both sides. It takes longer than running a piece through a machine, and it is the method hand leatherworkers have used for generations. A saddle stitch is also much stronger than a machine stitch. You can choose black or white stitching when you order.

The wallet is held closed with snap rivets.

Each of the two card pockets holds about 5 cards when it is new, so 10 total.

Over time the leather softens and takes on the marks of however you carry it.

If it gets wet, let it dry naturally. A light coat of leather conditioner once or twice a year is plenty.
